Lithuania 2023

Lithuania 2023

July 27, 2023

Lithuanian colleagues started the science week events already on April 17, first with a meeting and discussions of the teaching staff of Lithuanian universities, and on April 19 the scientific-practical conference “Evidence-based practice: from health to social well-being” was held, in which we, the lecturers of the College of Law, we talked about study programs and scientific work, introduced our foreign lecturers. The audience was interested in the involvement of the College of Law in international organizations: European Association of Higher Education Institutions (EURASHE), World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP), International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI).

In my report on the system of law enforcement institutions of the Republic of Latvia, I explained to the participants of the conference how the judicial system, the Constitutional Court, the prosecutor’s office, the bar, and the police work in Latvia. A discussion ensued as the audience asked questions to which I gave comprehensive answers.

On April 20, the next day of the conference, the events took place in a hybrid form, we met with foreign colleagues not only in person, but also remotely. After that, we got to know the study environment at Utena College, listened to the stories of the employees about the generation of ideas, the modernization of the premises and the activities of students in them. On April 21, a cultural program for the participants of the Science Week was planned, incl. bowling game. It was interesting, fun, unifying, because our team scored the most points in the game and won.

During the conference, I gained great experience and ideas for improving the lecturer’s work. Looking back at the International Science Week at Utena College, it must be said that it is necessary to maintain active and further develop cooperation between our educational institutions, to popularize study programs and their learning methods.
